Habitat for Humanity is a non-governmental organization that seeks to eliminate substandard housing in Malaysia. Habitat Malaysia partners with underprivileged families from all backgrounds, ethnic groups and religions to build decent homes in partner communities. In Malaysia, Habitat has ‘resource centers’ in Kuala Lumpur, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu that act as the construction arm of Habitat adapting construction methods to reach the needs of the poor. Habitat has built homes in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sarawak and Sabah.
